FAQs for FAU Giving Day 2023

1. How do I make gifts on FAU’s Giving Day?

To make a gift on FAU’s Giving Day, simply visit this page on September 21, and click on the “Give Now” button. Next, select your fund designation, gift amount and enter your payment information.

2. What forms of payment are accepted for donations?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, and Venmo. If paying by check, please write “Giving Day” in the memo along with the fund you are supporting. All payment options are securely processed to ensure the safety of your information.

3. What if I don’t see the fund I want to support?

The featured funds for Giving Day 2023 represent a diverse range of initiatives featuring scholarships, faculty research, and programs. We encourage you to explore the funding options available in the college or program of your choice by clicking on a thumbnail on the Give.fau.edu/2023 page.

4. Can I make a donation to multiple funds on Giving Day?

Yes. If you wish to support multiple funds, you can do so by creating a separate transaction for each fund. We cannot divide a donation between funds in a single transaction at this time.

5. Is my donation tax-deductible?

Yes. Donations to Florida Atlantic are tax-deductible. After making your gift, you will receive a confirmation email that serves as your receipt for tax purposes.

6. Can I make a recurring donation on Giving Day? 

Yes. You can make a recurring donation by clicking here and marking the box that you would like to make your donation recurring.

7. Can I sign up for an FAU payroll deduction on Giving Day? 

Yes. You can register for payroll deduction by clicking here.

8. Is there a minimum donation for Giving Day?

Our suggested donation amount starts at $5. Donation amounts are offered for your convenience, but you can also enter a custom donation under the “Other” section that is greater than $5. Every donation makes a difference in supporting our University’s mission and initiatives.

9. Can I share my participation in Giving Day on social media? 

Yes. You can download the FAU Giving Day toolkit here, which includes social media images and flyers. With your help, we can spread the word and inspire others to join the celebration of giving.
