Educate Tomorrow
Nearly 80% of foster youth want to attend college.
An estimated 62% enroll in college.
Less than 10% of former foster youth graduate from college.
Florida Atlantic averages about 150 students a semester that are either former foster youth or homeless. Educate Tomorrow at Florida Atlantic University, not only provides financial support but, wrap around services in academic advising and coaching, to support these students.
Financial aid and other available funding sources do not cover educational costs for students wanting to continue their education beyond a bachelor’s degree. Continuing education faces a significant hurdle in the form of tuition, posing barriers to success for students aspiring to enroll in graduate programs like dental school, medical school, physical therapy, law or other related programs, or certifications.
