M. Dennis Hanisak Semester By The Sea Fund: Join us in honoring the remarkable career and extraordinary legacy of Dr. M. Dennis Hanisak, a beloved faculty member, esteemed scientist, and dedicated educator. In 2002, Dr. Hanisak founded one of the nation’s premier marine science education programs, Semester By The Sea. This program provides unique, hands-on experiences to undergraduate students in the classroom, in the field, and even at sea. Learning directly from subject experts, this program has educated over 500 students, many of which pursued careers in marine science and even returned to Harbor Branch to become graduate students, scientists, educators, and leaders. Charitable gifts to this program help support Semester By The Sea at Harbor Branch.
