FAQs for FAU Giving Day 2026
1. How do I make gifts on Florida Atlantic’s Giving Day?
To make a gift on Giving Day, simply visit this page and click on the “Give Now” button. Next, select your fund designation, gift amount and enter your payment information.
2. What forms of payment are accepted for donations?
We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, PayPal, Venmo and Cash App. If paying by check, please write “Giving Day” in the memo along with the fund name you are supporting. All payment options are securely processed to ensure the safety of your information.
3. What if I don’t see the fund I want to support?
The featured funds for Giving Day 2026 represent a diverse range of initiatives featuring student impact programs, scholarships, faculty research, and more. We encourage you to explore the funding options available by clicking on a thumbnail on the www.fau.edu/givingday page.
4. Can I donate to multiple funds on Giving Day?
Yes. Donations can be split between two funds in a single transaction. You will be able to ‘Add Another Fund’ in the ‘Designation’ section of the checkout page. There, you will select the appropriate donation you would like to make to each fund.
You are not limited to how many transactions you can have on Giving Day.
5. Is my donation tax-deductible?
Yes. Donations are tax-deductible as defined by law. After making your gift, you will receive a confirmation email that serves as your receipt for tax purposes. Consult with your tax advisor for deductibility of your charitable gift.
6. Can I make a recurring donation on Giving Day?
Yes. You can make a recurring donation by marking the box noting that you would like to make your donation recurring, located under ‘Amount’ on the checkout page.
7. If I am a faculty or staff member at Florida Atlantic, can I sign up for a payroll deduction on Giving Day?
Yes. You can register for payroll deduction by clicking here. New payroll deductions will be totaled on how much your donation will accrue for the remainder of the year. Your name will be included on the Giving Day page as a donor.
For those currently enrolled in payroll deductions, your deduction for pay period #19, on September 18th, will count toward the overall Giving Day total dollars raised.
8. Is there a minimum donation for Giving Day?
Our suggested donation amount starts at $5. Donation amounts are offered for your convenience, but you can also enter a custom donation under the “Other” section that is greater than $5. Every donation makes a difference in supporting our mission and initiatives.
9. When will my incentive gift arrive?
If your Giving Day gift qualifies for a limited-edition incentive item, you should receive it in the mail within 6-8 weeks. All items will be packed and mailed (USPS) by our Annual Giving team. We appreciate your patience. Unfortunately, we are unable to ship internationally.
Only one item will be mailed per online transaction. If you would like more than 1 limited-edition item, please make separate transactions online.
10. Can I make a gift of stock in support of Giving Day?
Yes! Please call the Office of Estate and Gift Planning at 561-297-2058 to make a gift via securities, donor-advised fund, or IRA rollover.
11. Are there other ways I can help Florida Atlantic Giving Day be a success?
Many colleges and units will be offering exciting matching and challenge gifts. Your contributions can be doubled by making a gift during the challenge window. Check out the landing page on Giving Day to learn more.

Many employers sponsor matching gift programs and may match charitable contributions or volunteer hours made by their employees, retirees, and spouses. Learn whether your employer offers matches and, if so, how to request one, by entering your employer’s name at this link. https://fauf.fau.edu/matching-gifts. If your employer is listed you will need to go to your employee portal to begin the application process.
